I do not want to be a PTA member because I like to contribute directly to my school PTA and do not want any portion of the money to go to the state or national PTA. In the past I have paid for more than 1 copy of the school directory (one for each car, one at home) so that I can support the school and the PTA. I am quite shocked to know that now I have to become a PTA member to get a copy of the directory.
Is this even legal? What is the policy at your MCPS school. I would like some PTA people to chime in.
At my child's school, you have to be a member to get the directory.
You have a choice. Would you rather become a PTA member and get the directory, or would you rather not become a PTA member and not get the directory?
