Didn't lose power. It is a crockpot with a timer and warm function, but I just had wanted it on low for a long time so I didn't set it to warm. I guess it just defaults to off after 18 hours? I should look at the manual.

It's fine, but I would get a different crockpot. One with a timer and a warm function.

Boil ten minutes on the stove.

Did you lose power in the middle of the night? It should be fine as long as you put it in the fridge right away.

I put up a batch of chicken stock to cook in the crockpot yesterday around noon. I wanted it to cook low until this morning.

When I went to bed last night it was still on. This morning it was off and the crock was cool to the touch. So it had been off for at least a few hours.

Is the stock still good? What if I turn it back on for a few hours? Or boil on the stove? Wwyd?
