Po Siam was great. I'm disappointed that it closed.

Mai Thai and Thai Peppers are meh. I haven't found a truly great Thai restaurant, but some of the ones on Columbia Pike are decent (Bangkok 54 and one more whose name escapes me.

DH and I both got sick from Dungarats in FC. Avoid.

Rabieng, Duangrat and Thai square are our favorites. All further out from old town, but a LOT better and more authentic.

Sugar Palm on Edsall is good. Nothing we have had closer to us (West End) has been good. Some of it not edible or recognizable.

I wish I knew - and I'll be watching this thread - but I've making the trip to Thai Square & Bangkok 54 in Arlington (both on Columbia Pike @ Glebe / Walter Reed). Good stuff.

There seems to be an abundance of choices, but the ones we've tried (Sang Jun, Royal Thai) were totally bland and majorly disappointing. Where can we get some good, flavorful, spicy Thai in Alexandria?
