I'm also white and like the show a lot. Like others, I relate a lot to the family issues and the working mom thing. (Love the idea of a camera into the fridge so you can see what's there without walking all the way downstairs....and the mom freaking out when the dad starting putting away all the groceries IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES). I also find the racial humor pretty funny -- mostly in the way it makes fun of white people's stereotypes about black people, and Laurence Fishburne as the old school dad is hilarious (and great for anyone that had an old school dad, whatever the race). It's also kind of funny for anyone who grew up middle or working class that is now living in a more affluent area and sending their kids to school with the rich folks.

I get the name but wish they called it something else. I love the show.

I like it, but I think unless they start to build some continuing story lines, it will get old fast. It is kind of "same old same old" each episode, which is fun for a few but I'm not building any emotional connection to the characters and don't see any compelling storylines that would keep me coming back long term.

I've seen a couple of episodes. I thought I wouldn't like it because I'm not much of a sitcom person. However, the second episode was really finny and I'll continue to watch.

I think people are stating their race because the title of the show makes it about a specific race - ish, and they are explaining that they find it relevant, though they do not belong to that race.

I think it pretty good, but not great. I was also a huge Girlfriends fan so that was part of the appeal. The last episode was funny but was totally a ripoff of a Cosby episode where there was the same plot about pranks and the dad tricking everyone.

I am all for any sitcom where the mom doesn't have a Kelly Ripa body. Its so unrealistic for these actresses to play moms of three or four kids and have no boobs, hips, or body fat.

I like it. I'm white but I relate more to the family in Blackish than say the families in Modern Family. I like the episode with the mom encouraging her daughter to be a doctor. I do think the show could be better, but the actors seem good.

I like it. I don't love it. I was a HUGE "Girlfriends" fan back in the day so that aspect drew me in. I think its fairly predictable though.

Anyone watching? I've seen a couple episodes and like how they portray the family and the challenges of parenting and the interactions between generations. It's funny and quirky.

I'm not AA, by the way.
