Subject: Is it appropriate to bring gifts to a bris?
It's not INappropriate, but it's unnecessary. Many Jews do not have baby showers, so chances are you haven't given a gift by the time the baby is born. You can bring along a baby gift if you were planning on giving one, but there's no specific need for a bris gift.

Yes. It's expected, unless you've already given a baby gift.

If you've already given a gift, there's no need for another. If you haven't, you can bring one, but it's not required. A bris is a happy, celebratory occasion, so a gift would never be inappropriate.

It's nice - a card and a small gift/check ($36 or $54).

If we haven't already bought a gift from their registry then we bring a gift with us to a bris. Usually a standard baby gift- board books, cute outfit, gift card etc.

I usually bring a card and something small.
Most of the time if you are invited to the Bris you know
The family well. At my sons Bris I received a range of small board books, an outfit, a check, a card, and my favorite-- a bottle of wine.
There really is no right or wrong answer.
