This is about what I do and spend. Every 5 weeks though.

I'm also an attorney. My hair grows really fast. I spend $130 every six weeks for cut and color, plus $250 every 5-6 months for a keratin treatment.

I make $140k and have had the same hairdresser for 25 years. Who never changed my rates. I only pay 45 bucks for a cut, about every 10 weeks. And color myself.

Four visits a year is very reasonable. I spend less, but I lucked out in the gene pool and still have excellent dark hair with just a couple of greys in my late forties so I don't color or highlight. I do spend over $100 for the cut, because the hair has an interesting texture and if it's not cut by someone who I knows what they are doing, it's a disaster.

So, I think it's a good deal, especially if you want some thing that isn't the Haircuttery. I don't know where you are and where you were raised - I was raised in NYC and now live in Arlington, so I expect to pay. If you grew up in a place where you went to Truvy at the local, then it might seem excessive.

This year I stopped coloring and a friend cuts my hair in exchange for wine & dinner. So maybe $100?

I have no idea. Every time I got to the salon I spend about $150. I might go very 10 weeks?? I'm considering Keratin to make my mornings easier.

"too much" all depends on your disposable income. People range on this site from 70K/yr to 900K/yr.

I would say that you are average. I was spending $250-300+ every 3 months. However, I found an excellent stylist at a chain "super cuts" type place. Now I spend $80 ($100 with tip) every three months

I am an attorney. I spend about $900 per year including tips. I see my stylist four times a year. Cut and color each time, and partial highlighs twice a year.
I think it is too much. What do you think?
