It's always irked me as a fed that we have SO many bs holiday (Columbus day, Presidents day, MLK day), but the two we don't get (Christmas Eve and Friday after Thanksgiving) are the ones that the majority of corporations give to their employees and they are the most family friendly holidays. I'm tired of being ragged for having days like Columbus off. I wish they would redo the federal holiday schedule or give floating holidays like so many corporations have.
