Little Palm Island, Hawk's Caye, Sunset Key, Casa Morada, Cheeca Lodge

Not a condo, but we stayed in a suite at the Sheraton Key West with a 2.5 yo and an 8 month old, and loved it. It's on the edge of town in KW, right by the beach. There's a great pool on the property, the suite has two rooms and includes a kitchenette (sink, fridge, microwave), and there's a shuttle if you want to go into the center of town.

60 miles from Miami, 60 miles to Key West. Aside from the hotel, they have rental units.

We liked it.

We are thinking of flying into Miami and heading down to the Keys. We are looking to keep the trip as simple as possible. I would like to stay some place with a pool and kitchen. We would prefer to rent a condo. What location would be good for little kids? Any suggestions on condo rentals? Was planning to look on VRBO.
