+1 to Healthcare for Women. One really nice thing is that they don't share call with anyone. One thing I thought was awesome is that the doctors were not afraid to say that another doctor in the practice was better at something. For example, I wanted to schedule an ECV for my breech baby and Dr Porter told me the most successful doctor for ECVs was Dr. Fernandez and she could do it for me, but he had a much higher success rate than her.
PP here - I really liked all the doctors, not just the ones I called out. Porter and McClendon were probably my favorites. I think they had a new doctor join in June 2013 to replace Dr. Nguyen and people on DCUM really like her (she used to be with Piness that someone above recommended).
I go to Healthcare for Women as well. I followed Dr. Casadaban there after she left Care for You. I also like that they don't share call with other offices and you have to meet all the doctors so the doctor that delivers you won't be a stranger. Might not be your favorite of the doctors, but at least isn't a stranger. Each one has a "surgery day", so if you know the schedule, you know who will deliver you before you even call in during labor. Dr. Paik delivered my daughter. Dr. Winterling successfully flipped by her at 37 weeks (she had been breech since 20 weeks) and she was a BIG baby, 10+lbs at birth. Wait times are usually pretty good and you can do the glucose screen in their office.

Anonymous wrote:Care For You obgyn, the doctor is Piness. I've gone to her since I was 18 and am going to her now with my first pregnancy. I live in Chevy Chase and am willing to do the commute because she's just that good. She's so down to earth and practical. Be prepared to wait in the waiting room for a long time, but she's worth it.
