Almost everything is made in China or Romania or some other countries these days
And soon everything will be made in Africa
Because it's even cheaper for companies then China

You do know that they have exact same equipment and supervised accordingly?

You think italian (French ) worker does better job then chineese?

Hah, for these prices it should be a craftsman working with natural leather following centuries of tradition, not a migrant worker knee deep in heavy-metal laden leather.

LOL
Welcome to 21 century
Where corporations can't even afford that
I would really like to see you starting a handbag company using craftsmen with only finest leather and with the volume they have
And we will see how you do
You have no clue about supply chain

Most Chinese products are crappy quality. Chinese factories initially produce decent manufactured goods and then gradually skimp on quality and quality control in order to maximize their profits. They suck.

Goods made in Europe or the US have better quality control.

BTW, I don't buy anything made in China if it has anything to do with food or cooking or dishes. If a Chinese manufacturer is willing to poison Chinese children by substituting poison into milk chocolate, or put lead based paints on Chinese children's toys, I really don't think they give a shit about what happens to American consumers, as long as their bottom line remains intact.

Well good for you and I love my Chanel bag not for status but for iconic design
And I don't want to buy "inspired by" or a knock off for personal reasons
Same with LV
People like design ,it's old and vintage and lots of history behind it
Almost like art
Yes you can go buy Picasso or your neighbors kids painting for $20 which looks good
It's a matter of preference and taste

You paid for a name, not quality. Don't be confused.

I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I bought mine 2011-2013.

Mine have held up well. I have many, so I don't over use them, but they still look great...even my 14 yo LV.

Such a first world problem, I know. I don't mind the logos, etc. but put quite simply, my bags have just not aged well. The patina leather on the lining of my Delightful looks like it's about to crack in places. I think the Neverfull will be the only one I enjoy once baby comes but even then, it just seems like a waste. I wish I would have saved the $3500 I spent on the 4 of them for one really nice black leather bag. I find myself carrying a black leather MK bag more often these days which drives DH crazy after all the money I have spent on the LVs.

Selling isn't an option because they were all given as birthday/anniversary gifts so it would hurt DH's feelings - that and I don't want to risk being scammed on ebay or robbed on craigslist.

Anyone else regret buying into an expensive designer?
