I've been hearing about it from friends who are training for it. I'm so excited for all the runners. Wish I could give everyone a good luck package and a hug!

You guys will be great

Picked up my bib yesterday at the expo. It's on!

For people who've run the MCM before, do I have to bring ID to the start? Or will my bib suffice as ID?

They will search it. You will have to go through metal detectors as well.

I went last year around 1 pm on Friday and it was a piece of cake. Parking was easy. First you pick up your packet (bib number and guide) in the tents outside, then you go inside the armory to the expo where you get your shirt and can visit the vendors. There were no lines at packet pick up or once inside the expo. There was a line to get into the expo but anyone with a DOD id card is able to go in a much quicker line. I have one, so I'm not sure how long the regular line was.

Great tip - thanks! Do you know if it works for contractor CACs or just DoD employees and Service members?

Hmm, I'm not sure, unfortunately.

I haven't done it before but read to expect long lines. I have a flexible work schedule so I'm planning to go sometime on Friday during the work day with the hope that the crowd will be slightly smaller

I'll be there! Ran the 10K last year and loved it. Hoping to run it as well this year.

I'm running! I'm nervous and excited - my first marathon! Having trouble trusting my training as it has been a long road and I almost quit back in August as I was having trouble fitting it all in. But I'm so glad I didn't. I'm really slow and was worried about beating the bridge, but I finished my 20 mile training run with 22 minutes to spare, so that was a relief. No expectations for a fast time, just looking forward to soaking in every minute and completing what seemed like an impossible journey.

What about you OP?

Good luck to all the runners!

TEN MORE DAYS!

Who's running? Who's excited? Who's nervous? Who's both?
