I usually put on a little Olivia Newton John and then just chill out in front of the fire gazing upon a fine Camembert

I like to cut various types of cheeses into chunks along with a nice baguette and some fruit and dip it in yogurt topped with honey.

Sharp cheddar slices w/ tart green apple slices.

Grilled cheese of almost any variety (bacon & tomato is a bonus.)

Jarlsberg w/ fig jam.

Freshly shaved parm on pasta with bolognese.

McSorley's in NYC serves a sleeve of saltines, cheddar and hot mustard for a assemble-it-yourself snack. Sounds gross but total comfort food. I make it at home sometimes and add a sliver of raw onion. The key is really hot mustard, like Coleman's.

I also like Roquefort and butter on a piece of baguette.

Roasted beets and goat cheese salad.

The favorite cheese thread made me very hungry eager for a trip to the food store. Some of the favorites listed are ones I haven't tired and I was wondering about how others pair their cheeses.

For example I love goat cheese in a fruity salad. Fresh mozerella with a little sea salt and fresh tomato- sometimes a little balsalmic vinegar as well. Munster usually stands alone or occasionally with crackers. Sharp cheddar with crackers, salads, grilled cheese etc.

How does everyone else pair their favorite cheese? I'm eager for some new ideas!
