This is terrible! Did a derm do that to you? Were they completely inept? Are they still practicing? (practicing, ha ha)

I don't think Fraxel is used for just sunspots - as PPS have said, that's more IPL's territory. Fraxel is a bigger deal for bigger issues. Let the derm decide which laser to use. There are so many these days!

I have not done Fraxel but have done 1 IPL. In general, if spots are your only concern you'll probably be good with IPL. If you have other issues, lines, etc. then fraxel is definitely more heavy duty & better results. It also costs much more. My one session of IPL with a downtown derm (the derm did the IPL, not a tech) was $600. I'm certain you get get for less but I would be wary of just anyone doing it - you can burn for sure if not done properly. I am going for a 2nd IPL but in my home state where it costs half as much! I'm 43 & def have age/sun spots & General discoloration. The IPL helped but they are not gone. I'd do fraxel in a heartbeat if a few grand were irrelevant to me.

How much is it? How many sessions do you need?

Me too. But don't you think Fraxel healed faster even though it was deeper?

never heard of it, but just googled it. Sound like a lot of unhappy people out there - be careful.
