20:58 nailed it. Outstanding academics but a real pressure cooker with girls more in competition with each other than supportive. Their Head makes a huge deal over National Merit which I find off-putting. I sought independent school to get away from the standardized test mania. Lots of girls ending up with anxiety issues

It's academically competitive, best for girls who thrive in high stress environments. The arts, music, and sports options are good. For me, the deciding element would be how academically focused my daughter is. If doing well in school is her life and she wants a challenging and competitive environment, it's hard to beat. It's a lovely campus, and for upper school the collaboration with Gilman and RPCS means there are many wonderful class options.

My daughter attends elsewhere. She thinks Bryn Mawr girls are more competitive and less supportive than she prefers.

Anybody with experience with middle and/or upper school? Hearing mixed reports.
