Kids that age might like Seridipty, it's not just desserts, but they're good too.

In my view, with the exception of Clydes, these are all mediocre places. But they'll suffice for this purpose. J Paul's was great once, wtf happened....

Don't have a budget, but this is a low key group, so we don't the most expensive place. But we are celebrating some birthdays, so something decent. Thanks for all the info so far!!

Good advice about just parking in Georgetown Park Mall - just do it and save yourselves the hassle. If you are interested in the waterfront, I'd say Farmers Fishers and Bakers would be the better (quality) choice compared to Nick's and Sequoia. They have many options at many price points. If you want something more casual, Pizzeria Paradiso is the best pizza in the neighborhood - they take reservations for larger groups.

Maybe Old Glory? It's barbeque, the food is good and the atmosphere is pretty casual. They don't have valet, but you can park at Georgetown park mall and walk the 2 blocks over.

If you want to be on the water, Nick's has renovated inside and it's pretty nice. There is parking right underground there. And the place next door - Fiola Mare - is getting good reviews, if you don't mind spending more money. They may have valet. Sequoia should too, and it's a pretty space, though I haven't eaten there in ages.

On M St. proper, I've always liked J. Paul's and Clyde's, and they're not too expensive. If Mr. Smith's is still open (they're moving to the Chadwick's space soon), the piano bar is fun. And Martin's Tavern on Wisconsin is a tradition and the food is decent.

I am new to the area and have never been to Georgetown. I am in charge of planning a Saturday night dinner out for 6 students (ages 17-20). Where can I go in Georgetown, preferably with a reservation, that would be fun? Also any advice on parking? Since I am unfamiliar with the area, I would prefer some place where parking is not a problem, or with valet parking. Thanks!
