The loose/lose thing drives me nuts and is really common. It's hard to believe so many people don't know the difference but the evidence is all around....

It's been awhile since we've had a good spelling/grammar/usage rant thread.

I've seen half a dozen instances of "tow the line" in the last 15 min. of surfing. It's "toe the line," people. From the days of organized brawling, whether in barrooms or on sandlots.

Towing the line is a way to catch large ocean fish.
