It's been 2yrs now since we bought our rug and is only starting to subside now. It wasn't that cheap a rug. OMG - it drove me crazy. It would stick on the kids' socks and then they'd put their feet on the couch, and it would then cling to the couch. I had to vacuum the rug and the couches.

Ha - we've had ours for a year and it's just starting to subside. I read something about it reflecting the manufacturing process. If it was a cheaper wool rug (mine was!), this could be it.

In just bought a wool area rug and the shedding is driving nuts. I know that some shedding should be expected but how long do I have to wait for it to subside? I've already vacuumed it at least 10 times.
