This is OP. I ended up making this recipe because I had everything I needed on hand:

It was good, very hearty and made my house smell delicious. Very much like a traditional beef stew, with lamb. It needed a little extra salt for our taste. The fresh herbs added at the end really brightened it up.

I'm making the first linked dish. I put everything in the slow cooker and plan to get it cooking in the morning.

It seems a bit light on liquid. To the PP who's made this dish, did it come out all right with only the small amount of liquid, or did you add something else?

They are cute. But also delicious. Actually, the lamb you buy in stores is not the little baby lambs in the field. It's older lambs, just short of adulthood, when they're not so cute anymore!

Check epicurious for the morrocan slow cooked lamb recipe. It's awesome. I don't make it with stew meat usually, but imagine it would be fine if you cooked it long enough
