I'm totally intrigued by the legalities of this. Does this mean that if you are HIV positive, you have to disclose that to any sexual partner? Or does it mean that you have to use protection? Do you have to use protection during intercourse, or oral sex as well? What if you offer protection and the partner refuses? Does this apply to other sexually transmitted disease, or just HIV?

Ah. I assumed since they used the term "knowingly transferred" rather than "knowingly exposed" that she was infected. I hope it's the case that she was just exposed but not infected.

I'm not saying that I wouldn't, even two seconds later, think "wow, I wonder why she didn't have him use a condom." But my FIRST thought is "what a sick person to knowingly infect someone with HIV." That was my FIRST thought.

That's my first though, also. This is not 1985, in the days before AIDS was a known danger; anyone who is not using condoms is foolish. I do feel sorry for the women.

PP here. Yes, that's exactly what i thought, you gotta always protect yourself the best way you know how and in this case, it's pretty simple..use a condom when you're with a stranger.
