I use weebly.com. Once my freelancing paid off a bit, I bought my domain name so I wouldn't have weebly attached to my web address. I find it very user-friendly & professional.

Either go to wix.com or hire someone to help you position yourself, and handle the technical components.

Has anyone made their own website to market themself professionally? Or done other things to solidify their professional "brand"? I have a bunch of writing I've done for different jobs that I'd like to link from one central place (our reprint if I get permission) and am wondering 1- if this sort of branding is helpful and 2 - how to get started as someone not tech savvy?
