I think you can make it work. I am painting a bedroom with Sherwin Williams Gray Clouds. I am going to steal your bright white curtain idea.

Is this the look you're going for?

I've got a very large, dark master. We painted it white--I do not recommend this. I would go with a light, warm neutral if I had it to do over.

Agree with PPs. All light neti rales that blend well together, perhaps with subtle patterns or textures for a little contrast. And a great light!

Don't do the dark wall. You'll regret it and it will be harder to cover when you decide you hate it. Go with a light dove gray color or a cream on all walls. I like the curtain ideas and rug under the bed. Do it all light neutrals.

We did Benjamin Moore's Cream Froth on the walls, and BM's Superwhite on the ceiling and moulding.

I did this and I regret it.

I would do a light paint color.

Our MBR gets great morning light but is then very dark. It's a fairly large room. We have a king sized bed with about 4 feet on either side of bed. What are some tips on choosing a paint color? Floors are dark.im leaning toward a dark grey wall with bright white curtains and light duvet cover. Would also love a rug under the bed. Any suggestions?
