If I corporate representative wants to defend their company and properly identifies themselves as a corporate representative, I have no problem with it. In this case, the Comcast representative -- while identifiable as such -- didn't make much of an effort to identify himself. Regardless, I think I will leave that thread because it looks like a fun opportunity to snark on Comcast. The best part is that the Comcast rep uses Verizon!!!

Jeff, how do you feel about "social media managers" trying to manage their brands on the site?

There's a comcast rep trying to defend comcast on a thread that started with "how do I reach a comcast tech" but quickly (and unsurprisingly) turned into a rant thread. It seems to me DCUM has managed to be a community of individual users, uninvaded by commerce other than actual ads. And that letting social media managers in changes the community. But I don't know your thoughts or if you have a policy.
