Love white kitchens. I like the brightness.

I love a white kitchen, and a lot of others do too.

you could always do paint in a vibrant color to break up the white. the dark floor should provide nice contrast, too.

That's what we did, only we used marble instead of quartz. I love it and will probably do the same thing over again (we're looking to move soon).

Not OP - but thinking the exact same thing, really attracted to the "traditional" look, but willing to throw in some modern flair/elements. Thinking about a mix of butcher block and concrete counters.

Worried though, that this look will seem dated in a few years, almost like i'm on the back-end of the look and people will want something else in a few years. This could be our "Forever home" but we may find ourselves in a position where we must sell in 5 years (School situation is fluid.)

Thoughts on whether this style is on the way out? Am I going to wish I'd done something a little more cutting-edge, like blue cabinets?

I'd do exactly this but use a light shade of gray glass subway tile instead of white. You need to tie in the countertops and break up the white some.

This is exactly what I would do.

This is what we have minus the counters. We didn't want to spend on ripping out the current counters and back splash so what was there stands. What I do like is that the backsplash behind the range and counters on either side of it are stainless steel. I can put absolutely anythings down on that with no concerns at all. It is over 50 years old and still looks great.

about to redo my kitchen and wondering what you would use for a "timeless" (or as close as possible) classic white kitchen with stainless steel appliances?
we are thinking of silestone/quartz countertop that is close to carrera marble, white shaker cabinets, stainless steel appliances and sink, white subway tile backsplash. our oak floor was refinished and stained with a dark wood/espresso stain. TIA!
