OP here. Thank you for all your input. Abassi is in the DC office (Tuesday & Thursday) in addition to the Bethesda office--honestly, the DC office is easier to get to and more convenient. I am excited to get started!

Unless something has recently changed, Abbasi has offices in both Arlington and Bethesda.

Another vote for Abassi. Loved her. I didn't have your specifics but I found her to be smart, honest, and responsive. And I have two beautiful kids.

Fabulous that you have great embryos.

Good luck!!!

When success rates are really high, it leads me to believe there is cherry picking of patients. Difficult cases are exactly that - difficult - and the docs who deal with them seem less concerned about stats and more concerned about the patient.

I didn't have a straight forward case (high FSH, fibroids, over 40) and Dr. Sharara was my first stop. I left him for SG, where I had a much better experience. I know CFA is a great place for difficult cases. I consulted with Dr. Sacks at one point, who is wonderful, and I have also heard good things about Dr. Abassi.

I love Dr. Abbasi-- I also left SG for her, and am so very glad I did.

Abbasi is immune-treatment friendly as well.

You're right to leave SG, they just don't to anything that's not straightforward and you're smart not to waste your precious embryos on treatment there.

I really like Dr. Abbasi, her knowledge is pretty evident.

So, I am in the process of leaving SG after some fiascoes and I am trying to choose between Abassi and Sharara. Really, my only pause is that Sharara's success rates are pretty amazing. I liked Abassi's straight forwardness and that fact that she listened to me. I have 6 very high quality embryos to take with me from SG. My main concern is having someone who can deal with a homozygous MTHR and thyroid antibodies and perhaps some potential lining issues (polyps because my lining is always uber-thick). I am not a straight forward case, which is part of the reason SG isn't working.

Any and all feedback and thoughts are appreciated.
