Don't cancel. Get them all flu shots before you go...so one less thing to worry about. Do your kids have asthma? If they don't I wouldn't worry at all. If they do...I would still go but be very diligent with sanitizer and hand washing.

I would not cancel my trip. I'd be mindful of using hand sanitizer and washing hands before eating. But I'd still go for sure.

We are leaving for disney this weekend with preschoolers. Has this crossed my mind-yes. But I have decided to set my anxiety aside and go on vacation. Florida is no more risky than going on the metro here and head to a museum. We can't spend the rest of our life in a bubble, so we will do as pp said - wash our hands, I purchased antibacterial hand stuff for the first time and going to meet mickey.

Have fun!

No. Your kids can pick up viruses at school, too, you know. Teach them to wash their hands before eating or touching their faces (or at least to scratch their noses and rub their eyes with their sleeves instead of their hands). Wash your own hands frequently. Done. Enjoy your vacation!

Enterovirus or ebola? I am not sure which I am worried about more. Are you flying out of Dulles where the ebola victim had a 3 hour layover?

We're supposed to go to Orlando in 2 weeks. 2 kids under 10 yrs. Is anyone else worried about picking up this virus through airports, pools, Disney-type parks, etc?
