OP back. Thank you...I know I know but I dont have time to do that. Hopefully I can run to a farmers market though this weekend in Bethesda or Kensington and track some down. If not...Giant or Cosco it is!

Our local farm stand has them all the time (we are near the Amish in PA) but really, I don't get the attraction. They don't even taste apple-y.

Try the Farmer's Market in Bethesda on Sunday. One of the vendors usually has apple cider donuts.

I got some from Giant, and they were damp, flabby, and sickeningly sweet. It's hard to get an edible donut in this area.
