My Ped at Wash Hosp center doesn't hae the flu shots yet either.

My toddler had her flu shot at CMG on September 10th. I was told that they had a very limited supply. I wasn't even thinking about flu shots in early September until the pediatrician suggested it-- I'm glad we got it over with! Now, I just need to get mine...

NP here who just called -- now they're not even making the claim that they are giving it to people who have appointments for another reason. I have an appointment on 10/15 for my daughter's one year appointment and they could not confirm that she will get the shot at her appointment. I was told to call the day before.

So they told me (NP here) that they're giving shots just to the people who have appointments anyway for another reason (like a checkup or something), so they don't have to come back. They have a small supply, but not their full normal supply yet.

My kids had their vaccines at CMG early September. They must have had a supply and then ran out.

Will the drugstore clinics have the appropriate vaccine for a 2 yo? I just assumed we had to go to the ped for it.

I heard this was a problem with a lot of places, some CVSs included, this year. Wherever you go, make sure you call ahead.

I went to the clinic at Walgreens. They had shots and FluMist and will take kids.

We went to Walgreens on Connecticut (across from UDC) and got it done there last year. I didn't want to have to take off work early for a flu shot we we went to Walgreens on the weekend. They are open on Sat and Sun and it was extremely easy.

2 yo DD has only ever been to CMG and I like the doctors there, but I just called to schedule her flu shot and was told that there was a manufacturer's delay and they have no idea when they will get them in.

I ... er? Plus, I'm due any day with #2 and wanted to get this done.

Are other peds out too? Could I even take her to another practice where she isn't a regular patient?

This seems really bizarre and I'm not totally sure how to address.
