OP here. It's actually not for me. A friend asked me to read a rough draft of her memoir proposal (I'm a short story writer), but I'm having trouble assessing it because I don't know much about the conventions of writing a memoir book proposal. I have googled it, but I'm having trouble cutting through all the info out there and was hoping someone here might have some experience.

The Writer's Center in Bethesda has classes on various aspects of writing, including writing proposals. They had one a few weeks ago on writing proposals - I didn't attend, but as I recall it lasted one afternoon and cost in the range of $100-200.
