Pretty sure the OP was asking those of us who have jobs.

Here's a list of spring break camps. The list for one day offs is similar.

Thank you! Ive checked this list before for FCPS and unfortunatley, Arling Co has good one day camps, but they follow Arl Co schedule and only a couple of days work out to be similar. the remainder are way too far away for us. Oh well. Luckily I can work from home

In my neighborhood, the local dance studio, rec center, and arts center offer one-day "camps" on days that schools are closed. Some YMCA's also do one-day camps too.

But hopefully not about empathy or you'd both lack it.

These are also good days to schedule extended doctor's appointments, or take "field trips" with your kids that would be hard to do on a Saturday.

Lots of places offer one day "camps" for working parents. Or you can try to find a sitter on care.com. Some daycares take kids for the day.

DH and I switch off teleworking on those days.

DH and I swap days off. We also pair up with other working parents in the neighborhood so the kids have playdates and not all the parents have to stay home.

This is our first year in FCPS and I am home right now with my K child. Fellow parents, what do you usually do with your kids when school is closed? DC is not in SACC, so I can't send him there...
