Yeah "USDA Graded" is suspect, since basically all beef sold in the US is USDA-graded.. but it may have a poor grade.

Not surprised. They used to grind their own ground beef, but it's now coming to them pre-packaged. You can still get them to grind a chuck roast for you, but the packaged stuff is not ground that day for sure.

Watch the labels! Earlier today this week I noticed new labels on the beef: "Butcher Shop USDA Graded". USDA graded what? So I called up a friend who would know. Giant is moving to SELECT grade beef and trying to do it under the radar.
