Simply not true! There have been MANY healthy babies born full term to over 45 year old women. Just look at what the other posters said!

Statistics in general say that the chances are slim, but what your personal odds are is unknown.
Some people get pregnant in one try and some have to work at it for years. If you have no idea which end of the spectrum you are on, don't take chances in the future.
My grandmother had 15 children, the last when she was 50, so her fertility did not wane when she was getting closer to menopause.

Back in olden times and in third world countries women had children into their 40s. A litter of kids with the youngest and eldest 20-25 years apart.

Totally depends on YOU and your own fertility. There are people who have a hard time getting pregnant at 30 and others who are plenty fertile at 45. If you look at the abortion statistics -- it's not uncommon for a woman in her 40s to be surprised with an oops. I hope things turn out the way you want and that you are smarter next time.

My last menstrual period was Sept. 13th, I had sexual relations 21st-23rd and my cycles can vary from every 25 to every 27 days.
Online research says at my age my chances are 1%...Even less than.
Yet, my co-workers are telling me until I hit menopause I am fair game and can get pregnant any time I have unprotected sex.
Who's right here?
