I learned this week best day to visit Costco is on Rosh Hashana. The Wheaton store was almost empty at noon.

Depends on what time Friday evening, if you go later (after 830 - 9 or so) it's not too crazy. This is the only time of day DH and I can stand to go to Whole Foods.

Early Saturday (before 10am) would be better. At least where I am, there are tons of people who make a pit stop at the grocery store on their way home from work. If you go tonight, I'd make sure it was after 7.
