One time they took a little gadget of mine, made by Victorinox. It was the size of a credit card and had a little pen in it, a tiny little scissor, and a metal nail file the length of, as I said, a credit card. It was ingenious and I liked it. It was a stocking stuffer gift from my dad. I said to the agent, "Enjoy."

The TSA consistently gets to consistently apply brainless lack of judgment like this because none of us are sufficiently interested in putting up a fight there at the security station and risk getting arrested/missing our flights.
At least force someone responsible to take notice of this kind of idiocy.
