When we were at Sandpiper in August, the ages were always separate. Some kids liked it and some didn't. We were with about 10 kids of varying ages. My six-year-old was there all day every day and every evening. She was mad we didn't go until 9 each morning, as she didn't want to miss the first hour. The other six-year-old hated it and only went once. The other kids had varying opinions. It really was kid dependant.

When we were at Sandpiper, the 4-5s and 6-7s were combined because of low census (early November). That was fine. 8 and olders actually have different things they can do, like sailing for one, that the younger group isn't allowed to do. My kids had loads of fun there and went from 9-4 daily to kids club. My 5 year old at the time wanted to go back to club for dinner and evening activity also, but I told her I had to see her some on our family vacation! There is certainly the option of doing partial days with the kids club. When we were in Cancun Club Med, my kids would do the mornings with the club and then hang out with us at the beach in the afternoons. You can check the schedule each day, so they don't miss out on trapeze or whatever your kids like best. happy to answer any additional questions.

Wondering if anyone has experience with different aged siblings going into different groups at Club Med? We are considering this for a family reunion, and I'm a bit worried that my 3 year old (who will be almost 4 by then) will be bummed that she can't hang with her cousins and older siblings (5 - 9 years old). Any thoughts appreciated! We'll probably not even use child care most days, but want to know what to expect if/when we do.
