We had a bathroom with all brushed nickel and it ended up looking flat to me. We just did our kitchen over and have some brushed and some polished fixtures. It looks nice. Some of this may depend on the size of your bathroom. Do you have room to incorporate a few items of each finish ( accessories, etc.)?

I agree. Sometimes too matchy is not great either.

No, don't do it. It looks very off.

OP here. I was actually wondering the opposite.... if there was a chrome finish I could spray paint the brushed nickel? I'll have to look into that.

Can you spray paint the chrome fixtures w/ a brushed nickel spray paint to match?

You'll regret it. not a fan of brushed nickel in the bathroom unless its very modern.

I know this is generally a bad design practice.. my problem is that I am hoping to reuse most of our existing fixtures, which have a chrome finish, as part of our bathroom renovation. Then I found the perfect style/price vanity lights... and they only come in brushed nickel. Can I get away with that one deviation or will it look wrong?
