FYI, clonidine and guanfacine are not medicines you can start and stop quickly, or play around with the doses over short time periods. That can lead to dangerous changes in blood pressure.

Do not mess with the prescribed dosage without at least talking with your doctor on the phone, please.

Did you speak with your doctor about lowering the dosage and seeing if your DC could manage ADHD symptoms? Or consider switching to a different drug?

Has anyone who has experience with their kids and clonidine found that their kids stopped being able to tolerate it?

My child has been prescribed both traditional clonidine, and extended release. In both cases, after soem time on the medicine, my child started getting sedadted after his normal dosasge.

I tried stopping the clonidine but then my child is extremely hyper.

Has anyone had seen their child develop an intolerance to clonidine?
