Busboys and Poets it is. I like the menu and they have availability. Matchbox was a good look, but it was booked.

Thanks for the post. I know it's last minute. The baptism was originally supposed to be on Sunday morning-- I had already made reservations for a brunch party at Le Diplomate , but minister had to change it to Saturday Mass. So I'm doing a last minute switch.

Having my 11 month DS baptized this Saturday at 4:30 PM. Ceremony should be over by 6:30 or 7. Church is near U-street district, but we are in cars and willing to drive a bit. Looking for a good place to go eat after for dinner, my treat. Will be a party of seven 11-16 year-olds, and sixteen adults (one pregnant) and a baby (the guest of honor). No one with food restrictions or allergy concerns.

I thought about Maggiano's, Carmine's and Buca di Pepo's. But does anyone have any other ideas?

Five of the adults are flying in from BBQ capital, Tennessee and four from New Orleans. These folks know good food and I felt like the above listed places were just average. I'm willing to try off the beaten path places, but nothing real fancy or frou frou. Looking for a place where folks will have enough food left over to take back to the hotel.
