No. Don't do it!

But the zoo has flexibility - they can do indoor tours on bad days and stay out in the good days...

My daughter is an April 1 bday and I never count on decent weather.

My son's birthday is mid-March and it was an inside/outside party at our house. We decided, last minute, to rent a bounce house because the weather was going to be nice, but it was originally an inside only party. Since the invitations went out in February, I was prepared fo all indoor activities - the nice weather was a bonus and the kids loved the bounce house.

No. Someone asked this a while back, and I'm pretty sure the consensus was no.

March can really suck here. Of course there are spells of warm but it's just way too unpredictable. I wouldn't do it.

My oldest was born the first week of April and he has almost never had a sunny warm birthday. One year we even got a dusting of snow in the AM. That said, the zoo is a great party any time of year. We've done them for the April bday as well as for a kid who has a January bday. But it only works because most of the party takes place indoors.

Peak bloom for the cherry blossoms are late March to early April so the weather could be nice.

No, too cold.

no, i think March is typically cold and windy - even a late March sunny day. I'd plan something indoors.

DS's bday is the 3rd week of March. I looked at the calendar and it would March 21/22 weekend.

It all depends. DS was born in early March 2 years ago. It was over 80 the day he was born and stayed pretty warm thereafter. It was cold on his first birthday and warm again (but not as hot as birth) earlier this year for his second birthday. My birthday is a few days before his and I have to say it has never been consistently warm or great weather for mine over the years. I accepted the fact that he would likely not have an outdoor birthday when he was born in March.

I wouldn't plan it for outdoors at that time of the year. Have you checked the Farmer's Almanac?

I know it is way early but we went to our first bday party of the year today. DS is at a new school and we were discussing his future birthday. I'd love to do a party at the park or zoo but afraid of rain in March. We are new to the area and it snowed last March! I know that was totally abnormal though.

Would you host an outdoor party in March or be afraid of bad weather?
Any other March bday moms?
