I read the title and thought the OP was talking about best shampoo for bathing/showering with someone else.

Lol! I thought it was going to be about families who share shampoo instead of each having his/her own.

Is your hair short? My long colored hair would break off in chunks if I did that.

^^^ I was CWC-ing for a while, but now I'm just using medicated shampoo on my scalp, so I'm not doing that any longer either.

I've used a couple Suave conditioners and a V05 conditioner. I was looking for 'cone-free ones. I preferred the scent of the Suave conditioner.

After trying it for a while, I found the physical scrubbing required by co-washing to be harder on my hair than a traditional shampoo. However, I am extremely tender-headed (I have severe seb derm).

You're right. I shouldn't have said it that way.

I have heard that using the cheaper conditioners is better. They do a little bit of cleaning but the moisturizers don't fully strip the hair

That's correct. It works well for me but I still haven't settled on a conditioner brand.

It doesn't work for all people but for me the conditioner melts the oil and hair products at least as well as shampoo.

My hair is colored and can fade but I'm interested in any recommendation you have.
