We were taping it but have the smallest DVR setting for Verizon Fios and the thing is 14 hours (!) long. DH and I were saying we've heard it's good, but not sure we want to devote 14 hours or most of our DVR space to it.

I really like it though I find it somewhat hard to follow as it moves around a lot .

FDR was very good looking in his youth!

I've always been fascinated by Alice Roosevelt. She was still alive when I was a teenager, and was still very much a character here in Washington. She really did see it all.

I'm looking forward to tonight, as I've studied Woodrow Wilson, and the 1912 election has always been one of the most interesting historical periods to me.

They kind of whizzed by the mental illness, but keep referring to his alcoholism. I think they said he had diptheria, right?

Knowing that Eleanor was orphaned at such a young age helps explain how incredibly compassionate she was throughout her life.

I was thinking of watching it, but now that posters mention it's a Ken Burns show, I'm leery.

I watched some this afternoon...agree that it is interesting. Not sure I am loving it, but I will continue with it. This is my first historical documentary like this, and it seems that I may find there's a reason for that.

I totally agree. I love this - from his series on the Civil War -

I watched about half of the first episode last night and taped the rest. The story of TR's beloved first wife is very sad.

ok yes, OP, but I've taped it and haven't gotten to it yet. So there will be at least one person who is dying to comment about this!
