I interned in the general counsel's office of a fairly large agency during law school, and I heard constant complaints about the office admin. Apparently, she did absolutely nothing (when she did decide to attempt something, it got done incorrectly). The response to this was for the attorneys to all throw up their hands and fret about it, because god knows it isn't worth the effort to get rid of someone.

Look lady, I know asking you to work on well, work after a "hard" workout and shower at the gym during your work day is destressing. But I need this freakin report in to our boss. I understand you all don't like working FOR us Attorneys which is why you work WITH us with no descernible level of responsiblity. But, COME ON. Just sit down at your desk for a minute and look up the document in your little special system that I am not allowed to access.
