You should be fine....I know plenty of people that run there during the day and feel perfectly safe.

It's a nice area and there is no real crime or incidents that I know of (and I have lived here for 20+ years) BUT I still find that path creepy, desolate and lonely and that happens even on weekends just depending on location and weather. Never found it crowded except for the real entry areas of the path like near the Marina for example.

When I would go with my child, I would only do one half the trail, just in case, so we could always get out of the woods quickly and back to a park area.

Try it out for yourself and see what you think.

In your dreams...there are always people around except in the dead of winter.

I run there all the time in all seasons (even when it is cold, desolate and deserted) and have never felt unsafe,

Enough people so you feel safe, but not at all crowded or an issue. Beautiful place to run or walk.

Not crowded, but if the weather is nice, there will always be a few people around. We aren't in the neighborhood anymore, but I ran there often on weekdays and was never concerned for my safety, if that's what you are getting out.

Anyone run at Burke Lake Park during the week? I would like to know how crowded/desolate the trail is between 8:00-11:00 am. Thanks!
