I'm 5'8" and DH is 5'10" (and a half). I just wear what looks good. It takes a confident man to not mind a woman on his arm taller than he is.

I wear heels that make me taller than him all the time - he doesn't mind in the least.

Same boat here too. For us, the issue is mostly mine. I like him being taller, but that only happens if I wear flats (I'm 5'8" and change, he's 5'10" on a good day). Lately though, after 7 years of marriage, I've been embracing the heels.

I'm in the same boat as you, op. Husband is just a few inches taller than me.

I don't hate being taller than him in heels, but I love the feeling when he's taller than me. I even wore flats at our wedding because of that. And heels are often so painful for me, I wear flats anyway.

I agree with the person who said to wear what makes you feel great about you.

I'm 5'11" and used to be highly conscious of this in my late teens/early 20s. Then I dated a guy who was shorter than me (5'9") so no matter what shoes I wore I was taller than him. It was liberating bc I stopped caring. DH is a few inches taller than me so in some heels I'm taller than him but it's a non issue.

I LOVE being able to kiss DW without bending my neck, when she wears her tallest heels.

My husband is only taller than me if he wears heels and I wear flats.

I do it all the time. I used to be self conscious but DH thinks it's sexy when I wear certain heels so I quickly got over it. It's no big deal. I agree rarely noticeable. I'm 5'5 he is 5'8

He says that he doesn't mind and perfectly fine with me being taller but for some reason it makes me feel uncomfortable.

What do you think?

DH here. I can pretty much guarantee that your husband likes the way you look in the higher heels. DW is sufficiently shorter than me that this isn't an issue, but when I dated taller women in the past, I had no issues with their wearing heels and being "taller" than me.

I think that you should wear whatever you are comfortable in. So, if you are comfortable in three inch heels, even if it makes you taller than your husband, then wear them. If YOU will feel uncomfortable, then don't. But, it doesn't matter what any one else thinks, especially if your husband doesn't mind. I doubt very many people are going to even notice.

Most people have a very distorted idea of what they look like next to other people anyway. I am 5'0 tall and I am always astonished when I see myself in pictures. I never think I am as short as I must appear to other people. My mental picture of myself is much closer to average height, so that is how I picture myself in my head. My best friend is almost 6'0 tall and she says that she is always surprised when she sees pictures and she is a head taller than everyone else.

I'm 5'7, DH is around 5'9 so almost any normal heel makes me taller than him. So, I almost always wear flats.
