The Dust Bowl by Ken Burns
A bunch of the 30 for 30 films by ESPN are great. The one with Chris Everett and Martina Navritolva (sorry I butchered her name!) is wonderful. I also enjoyed the ones about the Manning family and the Marion Jones episode.

Waste Land, my favorite film of all time. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

American Hollow- one from Rory Kennedy in the late 90s was excellent. I don't know where you can find it but we taped it years ago and loved it, quote the characters all the time. Country boys is also good, think that was pbs.

"20 Feet from Stardom" - about backup singers - this was wonderful and I think it streams on Netflix.

"First Comes Love" - about a woman who decides to have a baby on her own. This was on HBO. Also very interesting.

"Babies" - can rent it on ITunes I think. Follows the first year or so of four babies in four different countries.

"Never Sorry: Ai Wei-wei" - great documentary about the Chinese artist. Streams on Netflix.

Does anyone have any recommendations for docs they have enjoyed recently? bonus if it's not utterly depressing. double bonus if it's free with my netflix or amazon prime (a bunch of other ones on my list I would have to pay for).
