Court ruling now allows them to charge money for good reviews. IF a company doesn't pay or want to run ads they hide good reviews.

OK. OP here. That's helpful. I think I'm reading too much into the "fan" part as I'm not a fanboy by nature. I should change some 3 star reviews to 4 star.

Last poster again. Also think of it as 5 stars A, 3 stars C, 1 star F.

As a business owner, 4 stars are good for the business, 3 stars not so much and may be a detriment if it lowers over-all rating.

3 stars are "A-OK" and 4 stars are "Yea, I'm a fan." Could someone help me discern the difference?
