OP I find this region in general to be very old-fashioned. You will hear lots of old-school parenting advice and you will see this in the culture of the schools as well. I'm not saying everybody is like this but compared to the west-coast I find more people in this region to be straight out of the 1950s.

I cleaned up the Initial Impressions thread. The other two are not active (one is several months old), so I left them alone. It may be the same poster in each thread, but three threads over a period of months is really not a problem. Just someone with a different view.

In every thread where a parent even mentions potty training, we get someone weighing in on how a non-potty sufficient three year old has something wrong with them and their parenting (see numerous threads), and how kids can potty train from 18 months to 2 years and if they aren't it is the parent's fault. Is this just a persistent troll, or does all of DC think this way?
