Can that do it lightly enough that I don't look like an oompah loompah?

My cousin had the same issue for her wedding day. She did spray tan, but without making it too dark and unbelievable, they weren't able to hide all the lines. It did turn out looking like she just had the bikini string lines instead of bikini, tank, short sleeve mix up from the summer.

I have a black tie event in two weeks and have a sleeveless black dress to wear. After running/yard work/bikini all summer my skin is a hot mess of tan lines. I have never spray tanned before. Will it help me? I think if my arms are all one color that will help a lot. I am pretty pale and freckly normally. If you do spray tan what so you recommend?
