OP here, and I am for real. Calm down, trolls. Some of us actually want to look professional. I never said it was a life or death situation. Perhaps you don't know the definition of the word dilemma?

OMG, OP! Unbelievable dilemma! Glad I am not your client as I would be hoping you were thinking about my project and not your toes. This post perpetuates the notion that women shouldn't be taken seriously. Or maybe you are not for real?

Seriously, your clients don't give a shit if your toes are polished or not. How old are you anyway? I can't believe any mature adult would see this as a dilemma.

OP here. Basically this is what I did when I put on the shoes and realized that really only the second toe was showing.

If you paint, you could also just paint those toenails that are exposed by your shoes and not worry about the ones that will be covered. In case it saves drying time/concern.

Sally Hansen quick dry (insta-dry?) is pretty awesome and easy to find at most drugstores.

Neatly trimmed and clean should be fine.

If your toenails are neatly trimmed, I don't see why you need to worry about the polish. It's September now though, so maybe the time for open toed shoes has past, but I think you are better off going bare toed than having your polish glue your feet to your shoes.

Also, avoid shaking your client's hand with your feet, and you'll probably be fine!

I am out of town for a client meeting today and didn't have time to get a pedicure. I brought along what I thought was some simple pink polish and top coat to do a quick coat but it turns out the polish I brought is old and dried up. I only have open toed shoes with me. Would you just put on clear top coat and go, or should I try to get to a drugstore and grab some cheap polish there? I just don't know if I will have enough drying time!
