Subject: Hillandale in silver spring
Lovely neighborhood with a great community feel. Lots of kids. The neighborhood has get togethers throughout the year. Camping trips, parades, picnics. Really a nice community. But... As soon as you step outside of Hillandale, you're in an absolutely dreadful area. It's not very nice at all. Very close to the PG County line and the closest shopping center would be scary after sundown. Very close to 495 though, so it's convenient.

The schools aren't great. But private school is an option.
