I realize they have some stuff that could be "cute" and not "sexy" -- if they just took out the "cute" stuff and had a store for teens, maybe I'd consider it - but it makes me uncomfortable to shop with her in a store where the undergarments are marketed for sale for sex appeal. I just want to go for function at this point.

I'm still open to more suggestions. I might check out Gap Body (never been in there)...

Why not?

Justice is really marketed toward younger girls/tweens. 13 year old girls are more into Aeropostale, Hollister, Abercrombie, etc.

Wow. No.

Nordstrom had some nice "junior" bras that were plain white, black and beige. They had a tiny bit of padding for "modesty" but were very appropriate.

it's hard to find stuff that isn't too mature! DD has moved on to H&M etc. but I do have to have final approval on those.

Nordstrom. We did a real bra shopping trip for a recent 12th birthday and it was super. Ruby at Tyson's Corner helped us. She brought back very cute age appropriate bras. Some fun colors, a couple of (our) skin toned selections, sports bras, the works. She also brought back some nice pjs that were comfortable and nice looking without being sexy or tight. It was the anniversary sale so we also bought some lingerie wash and a mesh bag -- only time they go on sale. We had fun and everything fits and is comfortable.

I'd go to a department store like Macy's. They have a big juniors section.

DD prefers wearing undershirts, but she has developed beyond the use of undershirts and is in need of a real bra (not the little girl kind) - especially since she'll be changing in the gym locker room next week in front of her peers. She's a petite rising 8th grader. I'd like to take her shopping somewhere where she feels comfortable and where they have a good selection. Target just isn't cutting it anymore and I'm not ready to take her shopping at Victoria's Secret, so please don't recommend that! Thoughts?
